This item comes with the original box and tissue paper.
A beautiful hand painted pill / trinket box created using the Bleu de four technique, which requires the pieces to be immersed in a blue enamel bath and then baked over high fire.
The result is a deep, hypnotic blue that oscillates between midnight blue, navy and indigo.
Each Dubarry piece is painted free hand. Their pill boxes have a mounting or hinge which is made from copper and is treated according to the design in a gilded or antique finish.
Dubarry tries to ensure that the gold in the design, whether it is 18 carat, 22 or 24 carat relief blends in with the mounting.
This particular box is inscribed on the inside Volvo 1994.
It is in excellent vintage condition.
